Interior Designer Position - Overview
We are a design and construction firm specializing in kitchens, bathrooms, and ADUs, seeking a talented and detail-oriented Interior Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of design principles, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for transforming spaces into both functional and aesthetically captivating environments. You will collaborate with clients to bring their vision to life, from initial concept development to project completion.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to understand their design preferences, functional requirements, and budget.
- Develop comprehensive design plans using tools like SketchUp, 2020 Design, and Chief Architect.
- Create mood boards and curated color palettes that align with the client's vision while leveraging expertise in color theory.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining strict adherence to timelines and quality standards.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and suppliers to source materials, furnishings, and finishes.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, address challenges, and ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Maintain consistent communication with clients, providing exceptional service throughout the design process.
- Stay updated on the latest trends, materials, and techniques to continuously elevate our design offerings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in interior design, remodeling, or a related role.
- Proficiency in design software such as SketchUp, 2020, or Chief Architect.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle priorities effectively.
- Knowledge of construction methods and remodeling processes (a plus).
- Excellent communication and sales skills to present ideas persuasively to clients.
- A strong eye for detail, creative problem-solving skills, and the ability to adapt to challenges.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
