Software Engineer - Robotic Automation Software

A Day in the Life

 Develop Robust, Scalable APIs:

• Design and implement scalable and efficient APIs to support Prime Robotics' next-generation control system for robotic operations. Within the first 60 days, assess current API architecture and propose enhancements to increase system responsiveness and reliability by 20%. Deliver high-quality code that meets stringent performance benchmarks and security standards

Solve Complex Software Challenges:

• Within your first 90 days, tackle and resolve the challenging software problems by applying advanced problem-solving skills and practical solutions. Document all solutions, ensuring that the software is reliable, maintainable, and scalable. Act as a second-level support for customer issues, providing efficient resolutions that enhance client satisfaction

Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams:

• Engage with cross-functional teams including robotics engineers, system architects, and support engineers to ensure the seamless integration of software components. Regularly participate in late-night meetings with international colleagues to synchronize project efforts and maintain momentum. Track project milestones and report on the status to senior management bi-weekly

Optimize Robotic System Performance:

• Over the next 6 months, lead efforts to assess and implement software optimizations that enhance the performance of robotic systems. Develop algorithms that improve processing speed and reduce error rates by 15%. Document the process improvements and present findings to the team during monthly innovation meetings

Stay at the Forefront of Technology:

• Provide thought leadership on emerging trends in robotics software and industry best practices. Within the first year, identify and advocate for the adoption of at least two new technologies that can enhance our software stack, positioning Prime Robotics as an industry leader in automation solutions
  
  
  

• 3 years of Software Engineering (1.5 years for a Junior Software Engineer role) experience, with skills in Java, Spring Boot, Python, and system design to create scalable APIs, solve complex technical challenges, and drive product innovation.
• Ability to work within a collaborative, cross-functional team environment
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or similar field preferred
• Experience in robotic automation or similar industry preferred

Salary:

Software Engineer: 75-90K/annually

Junior Software Engineer: 60-80K/annually
