Description
The Senior DevSecOps Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining cloud networks, architectures through the software development and product lifecycle. They collaborate with cross-functional agile teams to develop high quality and compliant cloud solutions through development, integration, testing, and deployment phases. The Senior DevSecOps Engineer works closely with other engineers, project managers / product owners, and stakeholders to ensure requirements are satisfied. They apply best practices and tailorable modern methods such as CI/CD, test-driven development, and automated test as they ensure requirements are met throughout the life of the program and/or product. To be successful at this position, candidates must be highly adaptable and motivated to learn new skills.
This position is contingent upon successfully passing an interview and securing work with the customer. Employment will be confirmed upon meeting these conditions.
Responsibilities include:
- Participate in the full cloud development life cycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Provide technical leadership in every aspect of the software development process.
- Develop high-quality code that meets or exceeds customer requirements and business objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement software solutions.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code that is well-documented.
- Create unit tests to identify and fix bugs early, maintain high code quality, facilitate confident refactoring, and improve code design.
- Conduct code reviews and testing to ensure software quality and reliability.
- Identify and fix bugs and performance issues.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Stay up to date with modern technologies and industry trends to ensure PSG software remains competitive and innovative. Examples are CI/CD, test-driven development, and automated test.
- Document cloud architecture design and implementation, including user manuals and technical reports.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship
- Active Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility, and polygraph
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field
- 9 years relevant experience with BS degree or 7 years relevant experience with an advanced degree
Preferred skills or experience
- Proficient in using and managing cloud services like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with IaC tools such as CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform.
- Proficient in leveraging version control systems like Git.
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices and implementing them in the infrastructure.
- Skilled in cloud networking.
- Experienced with single sign-on (SSO) solutions.
- Strong Python programming abilities.
- Familiar with Public Key Infrastructure.
- Knowledge of public key cryptography
- Familiar with AWS WorkSpaces.
- Adept in managing Windows systems.
- Competent in Linux environments.
- Knowledgeable in IC Customer Environment best practices.
- Experienced with managed Active Directory services.
Salary : $90,000 - $190,000
