Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Location: Bloomington, MN

Role Overview: As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in integrating AI-related APIs from a newly acquired company into our client’s ecosystem. You will ensure these APIs are seamlessly integrated, maintaining consistency and compliance. Your expertise in production-level AI systems will be crucial in meeting software engineering standards and ensuring scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Migrate and integrate AI-related APIs into our client’s framework.
• Develop and deploy advanced statistical and machine learning models.
• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines.
• Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the pipeline.
• Collaborate with data scientists, data analysts, and cross-functional teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and share best practices.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Python and AWS, including developing Lambda functions.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks and SQL and No SQL databases.
• Knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• Proven track record of putting AI systems into production with meaningful SLA response times.
• Background in classical machine learning techniques and deep learning projects.
• Experience in building and managing data pipelines.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 6 years of combined professional experience in software engineering and machine learning.
• Strong knowledge of software design principles, algorithms, and data structures.
• Experience with cloud platforms, containerization technologies, and managed cloud services.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
