What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mental Health Worker position at Prime Time House, Inc.?
Prime Time House
For over 35 years, Prime Time House (PTH) has been providing individuals in Northwestern Connecticut with mental illness a supportive environment that helps them lead independent and productive lives and reach their highest potential.
Our Clubhouse program offers people who have mental illness hope and opportunity to achieve their full potential. Much more than simply a program or a social service, the Clubhouse is a community of people working together to achieve a common goal. We have "members", not patients or clients, and focus on one's strengths, not a diagnosis or illness. During participation, members gain access to opportunities to rejoin the worlds of employment, education, and friendships, and to the services and support they need to continue their recovery.
The Clubhouse provides a restorative environment for people whose lives have been severely disrupted because of their mental illness. Recovery is promoted through peer support. This program employs rehabilitation counselors that support individuals through all phases of mental health recovery. Services are provided by working side by side with our participants, encouraging involvement in the work of the day which helps enhance each individual’s social, employment, and educational goals.
