What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) position at Prime Time Physicians?
The following information is considered the definition of essential functions but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. The Nurse Practitioner - Family Medicine may be reassigned duties and responsibilities at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other staffing reasons.
* Reviews the work records and practices of the health care delivered at least every two weeks with the collaborating physician
* Delivers health care services and treatments, administers, dispenses, and prescribes drugs as delegated by the physician
* Provides after-hours coverage for urgent health care problems for health center patients on a rotational on-call basis.
* Participates in the health center's Performance Improvement program...
* Assists in the formulation and implementation of the health center's health care plan.
* Practices Evidence Base Medicine.
* Uses electronic health record for documentation.
* Completes and signs encounter note(s) within 24-48 hours
* Orders Lab test(s) in the electronic health record
* Reviews and signs/dates lab tests results daily both in electronic health record and printed results, when indicated.
* Reviews and signs/dates radiology reports daily
* Follows recall policy for abnormal tests
* Uses electronic health record for prescribing medication via e prescribe and to document patient's medications.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
* Graduate from an accredited school of Adavnced Practice Nursing
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
* Must be able to utilize current texts, professional standards and other resources appropriate for management and treatment to serve as guidelines for care.
* Effective clinical and communication skills
* Must have the ability to work well in a team setting with collaborating physician
