Partner experience (PX) organization obsess over partners with a focus on delivering world-class partner tools to enable partners to 1) onboard and make their selection available to customers globally; 2) manage selection across PV business lines 3) acquire, engage, retain customers through self-service marketing, merchandising, promotion tools. By providing partners with best-in-class self-service capabilities throughout their engagement with Amazon, we power the flywheel through increased partner satisfaction and expanded the breadth of selection available to Amazon customers. PXBI (Partner Experience Business Intelligence team) fulfills data needs for Partner Experience (PX) organization to provide big data to power reporting functions across five crucial partner-facing products, meeting reporting contractual obligations and powering Prime Video partners with performance data for measurement to grow their business in Prime Video; also build data infrastructure to process big data to enable measurement of the effectiveness of the organization's product deliveries and facilitate data-driven decision-making within the PX organization.
Key job responsibilities
We are seeking a talented Sr Business Intelligence Engineer to support next-generation product development for Prime Video partners. In this role, you will analyze large datasets within Amazon's complex data lake and warehouse environments to directly answer partners questions and deliver insights that enable partners to make informed content marketing and merchandising decisions. You will also drive data-informed decision-making by establishing business metrics, owning self-service reporting solutions, and measuring product and feature performance, exploring the integration and adoption of GenAI services into our deliverables, aiming to provide AI-enhanced solutions for next-generation experiences for our stakeholders.
Working closely with Product Managers, Technical Program Managers, Software Development Engineers, business teams, and senior management, you will conduct analytics and deliver scalable solutions to guide product development.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong business acumen and excellent communication skills, lead projects end to end. Your work will have a direct impact on partners and day-to-day decision-making in Prime Video, helping to drive product development and business growth through data-driven insights.
A day in the life
You will be responsible for addressing partner inquiries by investigating data discrepancies, proposing solutions, and providing clear explanations for identified issues. Working closely with upstream data provider teams, you will enhance the existing solution to improve data quality for partners. You will work with Product Managers to understand requirements and partnering with Data Engineers to ensure data is ready to consume. You will determine appropriate metrics to extract meaningful insights from data, sharing these findings with PMs to inform feature decisions. Additionally, you will identify opportunities for improvement, document proposed solutions, and engage in reviews with PMs and TPMs to communicate your recommendations and incorporate their feedback.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $117,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $202,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. - 5 years of SQL experience
- Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
- Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results
- Experience with AWS technologies
- Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
- Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining
- Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs
- Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
