We are looking for enthusiastic and hard-working Certified Medical Assistants (CMA) to work in the Medical Department at the Hillsborough County Correctional Facility in Manchester, NH. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for a variety of daily tasks such as medical records request, administrative reports, Continuity of Care (COC) release, and other medical duties including but not limited to:
- Maintaining examination and treatment areas
- Verification of medications and medical information
- Maintain medication records
- Answer telephone and processing calls
- Maintain filing system and confidentiality of information at all times
- Provide full administrative and clerical support to the medical department at the facility to include typing of various reports, letters and memorandum
- Data Entry
- Scanning documents into the computer
- Assisting with the credentialing process of new hires
- Maintain staff log
- Schedule transports
- Assist with billing

Requirements:The Medical Assistant must have completed an approved Medical Assistant program and also bring some clerical experience and ability to type to the position in order to be considered.

- Good grasp of patient assessment skills
- Effective communication skills & pleasant telephone manner
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
- Working knowledge of office equipment and medical equipment
- Working knowledge of medical terminology
- Minimum of 2 years medical assistant or medical office administrative support.
- Strong computer skills (including Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Strong organizations skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work with confidential matters and information is required
