Job Description

Our Facilities Appearance is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and visual appeal of airport facilities, including terminals, lounges, restrooms, and public areas. This role involves tasks like sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal, ensuring a welcoming and hygienic environment for passengers and staff. In this position you must adhere to strict cleaning protocols and use appropriate cleaning agents and equipment, while also being mindful of environmental and safety guidelines. Additionally, you are responsible for promptly addressing any cleaning issues or hazards reported by airport users, contributing to the overall positive experience of those utilizing the airport facilities.

• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of airport facilities, including terminals, lounges, restrooms, and public areas

• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and waste disposal
• Respond promptly to cleaning emergencies or spills to ensure safety and cleanliness
• Monitor and maintain restrooms, ensuring they are stocked with necessary supplies and kept in hygienic condition
• Use appropriate cleaning agents and equipment in accordance with safety guidelines
• Inspect facilities for maintenance issues and report any damages or repairs needed
• Assist with the setup and teardown of displays, furniture, and equipment for events or special arrangements
• You have a great attention to detail
• You enjoy working with a team or individually to accomplish your tasks
• Like to build long term relationships with your customers
• Physical activity may include:
  • Stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift 70 pounds or more
  • Be able to hear and respond to the spoken voice and to audible alarms generated by terminal environment
  • Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); Distance Vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); Color Vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors); Peripheral Vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point); Depth Perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); Ability to Adjust Focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 18 years old
• 1 year cleaning or customer service experience
• Comfortable working with computers, mobile devices, and tablets
• Ability to pass a drug screen
• Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)
