Primera Engineers is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Buildings Division. The Mechanical Engineer should be degreed, have classroom and/or internship experience with basic HVAC principles, possess strong CAD skills, have the ability to communicate and interact with others, and be able to support engineers/architects on projects.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- You will prepare heating/cooling load calculations using approved software
- You will complete ventilation schedules, size ductwork and piping, size fans and pumps, and size tanks and heat exchangers, under supervision
- You will prepare ventilation and hydronic drawings, including relevant detail sheets and schedules under supervision
- You will assist with field surveys of HVAC equipment and systems
- You will be responsible for Project CAD Coordination
- You will maintain project documentation, including calculations, project filing, etc.
- You will interface with vendors under supervision
WHO YOU ARE:
- You have a minimum 0 years of experience
- You have a B.S. in Mechanical or Architectural engineering (required)
- Having your FE is preferred
- You have basic knowledge of ASHRAE standards for ventilation, humidity control, load calculations, and duct sizing techniques
- You have basic knowledge of key performance parameters for air handlers, pumps, and ductwork accessories
- You have knowledge of key architectural considerations for HVAC equipment such as fan room sizing, shaft sizing, clearances, ceiling, and interstitial space constraints
- You have knowledge of key electrical considerations for HVAC equipment such as voltage and phase, disconnect devises, low voltage requirements, and separation of HVAC and electrical equipment
- You are skilled in MS Office
- You are skilled in AutoCAD and/or REVIT
- You have team skills and communication skills
- You have knowledge of discipline-specific HVAC calculation software tools

Starting salary is between $60,000 – $90,000 based on skills and qualifications, with the high end of the range limited to applicants based on relevant years of experience.
