Plumbing Engineer (FE)

The Plumbing Engineer I is an entry-level engineering job. The Plumbing Engineer I should be degreed, have classroom and/or intern experience with basic Plumbing principles, possess strong CAD skills, have the ability to communicate and interact with others, and be able to support engineers/architects on projects.

WHO YOU ARE

• You have a minimum of 0 years of experience 
• You have a B.S. in Mechanical or Architectural engineering (required)
• You have or plan to take your FE (preferred)
• You have basic knowledge of ASPE standards 
• You have basic knowledge of key performance parameters for plumbing fixtures 
• You have knowledge of key architectural considerations for plumbing equipment such as mechanical room sizing, shaft sizing, clearances, ceiling and interstitial space constraints 
• You have knowledge of key electrical considerations for plumbing equipment such as voltage and phase, disconnect devises, low voltage requirements, and separation of plumbing and electrical equipment 
• You are skilled in MS Office 
• You are skilled in AutoCAD and REVIT 
• You have team skills and communication skills 
• You have knowledge of plumbing calculation software tools  
   

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• You'll prepare Plumbing calculations using approved software 
• You'll complete fixture schedules, size piping, size pumps, size tanks and heat exchangers under supervision 
• You'll prepare drawings, including relevant detail sheets and schematics under supervision 
• You'll assist with field surveys of Plumbing equipment and systems 
• You'll  be responsible for Project CAD Coordination 
• You'll maintain project documentation, including calculations, project filing, etc. 
• You'll interface with vendors under supervision 
• You’ll enjoy what you do. You’ll work with great people, learn, grow and have a good time doing it.

Starting salary is between $60,000 – $90,000 based on skills and qualifications, with the high end of the range limited to applicants based on relevant years of experience.
