Title - Site Reliability Engineer
Location - New York, NY (onsite)
Duration Contract 12 months
Visa: Independent status consultants only apply
Job Responsibilities:

- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field required
- At least 5 years of hands-on application development.
- 15 years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or Platform Engineering roles
- Python, JavaScript, Shell, RESTful Webservices, Ansible
- Kubernetes, Docker, and other container orchestration tools.
- RDBMS knowledge (preferably MSSQL/PostgreSQL)
- Observability stack (Prometheus, Loki, Jaeger, Grafana)
- Kafka
- A very strong communicator with the ability to interface directly with clients and analysts to ensure technical requirements and delivery align with expectations
- A strong understanding of Agile/Scrum and ability to deliver solutions under this methodology
- Experience in the development of service-oriented architecture application, good understanding of Object-Oriented Design and Design Patterns
- Must be comfortable in working in Unix environment and have experience with web servers such as Apache and Tomcat
Desired Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of GIT/Jenkins
- Knowledge of Sonar, Cypress, Fortify and other standard code coverage/testing tools
- Knowledge of automation testing using tools such as: Junit/Mockito, Maven/Gradle
- DevOps and Cloud experience
- Experience in BDD
