Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various technical fields, including electrical work and heavy equipment operation. This role requires hands-on experience with tools and equipment, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems efficiently. The Technician will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing systems while ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications systems and components.
- Operate equipment safely and effectively.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools for various tasks related to field service operations.
- Conduct troubleshooting using voltmeters and other diagnostic tools to identify issues.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and within deadlines.
- Maintained accurate records of work performed, including service reports and inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all operations.
Skills
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have at least one (1) year of full-time experience as a drop bury technician.
- Operate machinery, including trenching and boring equipment for burying cable.
- The ability to walk 1/2 mile while operating following a drop plow that places service cable.
- Ability to work the schedule including overtime as needed.
- Strong verbal and written communication ability.
- Ability to work independently or as a team player.
- Valid driver’s license is needed.
- Requires completion of background and MVR checks.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% (Preferred)
