Education Requirement: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience
Experience Requirement: Read and interpret engineered drawings
Skills and Abilities: Perform duties satisfactorily
Language Requirement: Read, speak, and understand English
Licenses or Certifications: Driver's License (CDL Preferred)
Physical Requirement: Sitting, standing, hand dexterity, speaking, vision and hearing.
Mental Requirement: Ability to follow procedures in an organized fashion

DUTIES/TASKS
- Punches in on time and is available for work at the beginning of each workday.
- Operates Company vehicle in a safe and responsible manner.
- Load truck and trailer with proper cable and fiber each day.
- Procure and organize material such as lashing wire, bolts, straps, etc.
- Organize and maintain tools and equipment.
- Operate truck while lineman works bucket. (CDL License required.)
- Assist lineman and look for obstructions and low power lines.
- Complete all required company job paperwork on time.
- Install new cable or fiber and remove old material from job site and from truck, store in proper location.
- Keep track of prints and job details.
- Is neatly groomed and wears company uniform.
- Notifies supervisor of any unsafe equipment or working conditions.
- Attends safety meetings as required.
- Manages set up and breakdown of work zone.
- Receives an annual performance evaluation of satisfactory or better or a plan is in place to achieve that result.
- Follows company, customer and OSHA Safety rules and regulations while in field.
- Performs any other duty or assignment as may be assigned, from time to time, by the Supervisor.
- Understands project deadlines and prepares to work in outside weather conditions as necessary.
