We are seeking a skilled and reliable Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a healthcare environment, demonstrating a strong understanding of maintenance protocols, safety regulations, and building systems. This role is essential in ensuring that our facility remains in top condition to support the critical services we provide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address maintenance needs.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders from staff.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to building infrastructure, equipment, and systems.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs and inspections.
- Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations, including infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with external contractors and service providers as needed.
- Participate in emergency response and on-call rotations as required.
- Assist with the setup and takedown of equipment for special events or departmental needs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a relevant field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance, with experience in a healthcare environment strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Strong knowledge of safety and compliance regulations specific to healthcare facilities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects and perform physical tasks as needed.
