Position Summary:
The Accelerated Management Program (AMP) calls for individuals who are Compassionate, Accountable, bring Real Value, Integrity, New ideas and provide Guidance to our members as well as the internal team. These key elements define PrimeWay’s culture. This program is for ambitious professionals passionate about becoming credit union leaders. The AMP provides an excellent opportunity to learn our business from the ground up, rotating through various department functions to fully understand retail operations. The objective is to ensure that participants understand all the internal processes and grow with the business as we position PrimeWay for the future. Upon successfully completing the program, AMP participants will be ready for leadership opportunities within the organization. This program will last approximately 18-24 months and expose participants to operations, member service, sales, and accounting. Participants will be challenged through on-the-job training and application and routine knowledge checks to assess individual progress and aptitude, which will continue throughout the program. The Accelerated Management Program demonstrates PrimeWay’s ongoing commitment to the growth and development of our emerging workforce.
Responsibilities:
- Delivering outstanding member service experiences throughout all position intervals.
- Promoting consumer/small business credit union products and services to members and prospects, using direct sales techniques that include making outbound phone calls and face-to-face encounters, engaging potential clients in conversations about banking needs, and speaking with knowledge and positivity about credit union products and services.
- Assisting other retail centers when staffing dictates.
- Achieving specific sales goals daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual.
- Working closely with the Retail Center Manager and RCCM to develop plans to achieve banking center goals.
- Exceling inside and outside sales activities, including sales calls and Select Employer Group membership drives.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with business partners to maximize opportunities and achieve sales standards, providing a broad base of financial services with the goal of earning 100% of the prospect’s business.
- Educating members in our digital banking platform. This includes, but not limited to, online banking and bill pay/external transfers, mobile banking app to include text alerts and mobile deposits, usage of /ITM’s, usage of chat box, and all other self-service channels.
- Working closely with clients and business partners to refer products and services to other internal business channels.
- Resolving client concerns and issues.
- Maintaining current knowledge and ethically conducting operational tasks related to protecting member and credit union assets related to regulatory compliance (ex: Bank Secrecy Act and Office of Foreign Assets Control), including properly documenting account opening, accounting for cash and negotiable instruments under dual control, completing logs and other records to document proper procedures, obtaining, and ensuring the accuracy of all regulatory and procedural documentation.
- Protecting all client information, trade secrets, and business records as confidential and following all company policies for communication with clients, vendors, and associates.
- Completing teller transactions when necessary.
- Understanding, communicating, and instilling corporate initiatives and vision, including the CARING values
- Completes other specified duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Knowledge and Skills
- Qualification requirements include but are not limited to an assessment of overall financial responsibility, character, and general fitness through a review of criminal background checks and credit reports.
- Previous internships or relevant work experience that correlates to your degree and career aspirations.
- Ability to maintain significant levels of diplomacy, trust, and normal courtesy and tact.
- Excellent communication skills; ability to use applicable computer software
- Ability to motivate and influence others
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, focused in business or other related field
- Previous banking/credit union experience preferred but not required
ADA Requirements
Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting to 5 lbs. Must be capable of climbing/descending stairs in emergency situations. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on a computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendance.
