What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodian position at Primex Plastics Corp?
Primex Plastics is seeking a part-time Custodian to help maintain the cleanliness of our facility, including offices, breakrooms, restrooms, and some parts of the production area. This position will work 20-25 hours per week, the exact schedule of which is still under review and may be somewhat negotiable.
Responsibilities:
As part of a team of two, you will complete daily tasks to maintain general cleanliness plus perform additional cleaning projects on a weekly, monthly, or as-needed basis. These include but are not limited to
- Cleaning offices, lobbies, hallways, breakrooms, restrooms, and other work areas
- Emptying wastebaskets, recycle bins, and paper shredder
- Clean and disinfect doorknobs and drinking fountains
- Sweep and mop floors
- Clean carpets, rugs, upholstered furniture and blinds
- Dust furniture and office equipment
- Wash windows

- Must be able to communicate clearly and follow directions provided verbally and/or in writing
- Must be able to work independently and as a team, with little supervision
- Must have great time management skills with the ability to properly prioritize work duties
- Must be self-motivated to complete a significant amount of high-quality work each shift

Shift schedule is somewhat negotiable and the successful candidate's preferences will be taken into consideration. Once determined, the schedule will be consistent week-to-week but will allow for occasional flexibility.
