What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grinder Operator position at Primex Plastics Corp?
Primex Plastics Corporation, an international leader in the extruded plastic industry, is currently seeking a Grinder Operator for a 10-hour day shift.
Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Feed reclaimed production material into grinder or shredder.
- Locate material scheduled to be ground and move from warehouse to grinding room using a forklift.
- Use electronic barcode inventory system to label boxes and update records whenever material is physically moved or changed.
- Perform equipment maintenance on grinders and shredders, including changing blades.
- Maintain safe working practices as all times.
Potential to cross-train in other duties, including:
- Receive packages and deliver to appropriate department.
- Operate railcar unloading equipment.
- Prepare pallets for production.
- Operate material blending equipment.
All skills will be trained on the job but the ideal candidate will have the following basic abilities/characteristics:
- Motivated to produce a high volume of work each and every day.
- Self-starter, able to determine what needs to be done and complete it with minimal supervision.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Comfort level with computers and/or mobile apps.
- Adaptable to different duties as needed.
- Able to work as a team or alone.
