What are the responsibilities and job description for the Account Executive position at Primis?

This is a full-funnel sales role at a fast-growing startup in the collaboration software SaaS space. As an early-stage employee, you'll have the opportunity to work closely with the founders/C-Suite, as well as the sales, marketing, and customer success teams. In this role, you'll report directly to the Director of Sales.


As an Account Executive, you will own the sales process from the moment you receive a qualified lead, through identifying client pain points, conducting product demos, and ultimately closing deals. The ideal candidate is a passionate, intellectually curious, and competitive individual who has excelled in B2B sales roles and is ready to take on a new challenge with significant upside potential.


Responsibilities:

  • Pursue qualified leads passed from the business development team to close new business and actively engage with closed clients for upselling opportunities.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, including requirements gathering, product demonstrations, and negotiations.
  • Hit or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Build and maintain long-lasting relationships with clients through regular touchpoints.
  • Work closely with the Customer Success team to set up onboarding trainings and optimize product adoption.
  • Provide valuable feedback to the Product/Engineering teams to ensure the product’s features meet customer needs and expectations.


Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in technology or SaaS Sales.
  • Strong desire to utilize learn new sales skills, such as demoing and negotiation.
  • A proven track record of being a high performer in a sales environment.
  • Ability to build deep, lasting relationships with clients.
  • A true team player who thrives in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a high level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in an upbeat, fast-paced environment with monthly sales cycles.
  • Experience with CRM platforms (Salesforce, Gong, Hubspot) is a plus.
  • Previous startup experience is a bonus.

Salary : $70,000 - $90,000
