The Motor Pool Attendant performs daily inspection of company vehicles and performs repair and maintenance as needed. Other related job duties as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs daily inspection of company vehicles to ensure that these are in good running condition.
- Performs the repair and maintenance of company vehicles.
- Prepares the vehicle for lube and oil changes / tune-ups based on the vehicles preventive maintenance schedule.
- Washes and cleans the vehicles that were just taken out of service.
- Washes and cleans company vehicles as scheduled.
- Assists in transporting the vehicles to outside vendors for service / repairs not performed on property.
- Orders parts and supplies as needed.
- Cleans the motor pool and surrounding area.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
- Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divides in all units of measure.
- Ability to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk; use hands to handle objects and tools; and regularly lift and / or move objects from 25 to 80 pounds.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to hazardous elements such as diesel, gasoline and oil spills and cleaning chemicals.
