Job Description
We are currently seeking a Regional Fleet Manager to be located in either Chicago, Milwaukee or Kansas City and report to the Division Vice President. The primary responsibilities will include:
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Direct leadership of all branch fleet and shop activities, supporting the Profit & Loss Statements
- Manage shop safety standards and support environment compliance and training
- Manage Transman shop compliance and technician productivity
- Act as the primary contact to support regional fleet escalations and gap closure activities to ensure fleet processes are in compliance with our internal standards
- Execute and support of national initiatives and processes
- Facilitate interviews, hiring, conduct work-withs as required
- Manage and oversee outside repair and maintenance vendors
- Ability to motivate, engage and inspire teams
- Partner with field operations teams to review key fleet areas (accidents/rentals) and common business objectives
Key qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in multi-site site management
- Demonstrated experience in leading, training and coaching employees
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment, ability to influence others not under direct control
- Solid knowledge of fleet maintenance systems
- Demonstrated experience with direct cost management in excess of $10 million
- Ability to negotiate and manage vendor contracts and relationships for sustainable outcomes
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Advanced Excel, SAP required
- Experience applying safe work methods and understanding of 5S principles
