We are currently seeking a Q.A. Technician to join our team in McBee, SC.
Compensation: $27.30 / hour
Shift differential: 6%-8% of base hourly rate paid for applicable hours worked
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 10:00 pm - 6:30 am Night Shift, Full-Time. Hours may adjust to support business needs

Job Description
We are currently seeking a Q.A. Technician to join our team in McBee, SC.

- Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Performing CIP Activities. Activities will be Internal CIP’s and Externals CIP’s requiring Chemical handling and Sanitation Equipment. This also involves manual pipe connections with gaskets and clamps, along with understanding the CIP process for 15 different circuits
- Monitoring the quality of the product on shift, by line releases, water chemistry checks from the bottle washer and filler and incident reports.
- Verifying the production employees are performing the required checks on the line and putting them in the correct position to succeed
- Water Treatment and Water Processing Knowledge requiring sampling, testing and verification activities on all water processing equipment
- Microbiology - understanding program and being responsible for pulling required samples throughout process. Required to plate samples for HPC, Coliform, Pseudomonas and Yeast and Mold, along with reading and performing confirmation testing for E.coli. Will also need to frequently send samples to 3rd party labs for compliance testing.
- Sensory - setting up finished product and odor panels by pulling samples from process and line in accordance with Sensory Program. Assist in training and ensuring proficiency and participation results are compliant with Program requirements
- Understanding and performing calibrations on Measuring and Monitoring Equipment such as Ozone sensors along with meters for such tests as PH, conductivity, turbidity and UV intensity
- Customer Complaint Testing and Quality Troubleshooting using Problem Solving tools such as Operational Reviews, GSTD’s and DMAIC’s. This will require creating Controlled Docs such as SOP’s Standard Routines, Checklists and OPL’s and Visual Standards
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Science/Technology, or comparable Science field preferred
- Knowledge of water chemistry and experience working with chemicals
- Knowledge of microbiological techniques such as preparation of media, reading and interpreting microbial growth
- Ability to troubleshoot laboratory and operational equipment and work with others for problem resolution
- Ability to move/handle 50 lbs and stand on your feet for long periods of time throughout the day
- Great teamwork and decision-making skills
- Ability to prioritize

- Understanding of microbiological testing analysis
- Microbiological methodology and knowledge
- Understanding of GLP and Lab Safety
- Understanding of Standard Methods
