Job Overview:
We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team. As a Team Member, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests. We are looking to bring in a shift leader to run the store during some of the busiest times. This person will need to be very fast paced, great with customer service, be able to train and manage a team of 5-6 members and help increase sales/maintain budgets.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day store operations when Manager is not there, including sales, customer service, and inventory management
- Develop and implement strategies to drive store sales and meet budget goals
- Train and develop store staff to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve sales targets
- Ensure store compliance with company policies and procedures
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with suppliers to maintain adequate inventory
- Oversee point-of-sale (POS) transactions and ensure accuracy
- Lead and motivate the team to achieve store objectives
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a shift leader in a retail setting, preferably in hoagies sales or fast food
- Strong market knowledge and understanding of pricing strategies
- Excellent budgeting skills to manage store finances effectively
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on building customer loyalty
- Proficient in team management, including training development and performance evaluations
Duties:
- Prepare and serve food to customers
- Take customer orders and process payments using the POS system
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the quality and freshness of our products
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations
- Provide friendly and prompt customer service, addressing any inquiries or concerns
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
- Proficiency in basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management
- Excellent sales skills to upsell menu items and promote specials
- Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment is mandatory
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems is preferred
- Culinary background or experience in the food industry is mandatory
