- Supports strategic direction and approach for each bid.
- Responsible for reviewing and approving all estimates.
- Mentors and trains estimators in the process, providing them opportunities to obtain great experience in support of the business needs. Responsible for coaching and providing feedback on performance.
- Manages a disciplined approach on the following : site investigation, estimating, client needs, schedule development, design strategy, and procurement selections.
- Establishes a team environment between business development, estimating, contracting, engineering, procurement, and operations in preparing bids and ensures all stakeholders understand the deliverables and the submittal timing.
- Collaborates with procurement to understand cost trends of materials and equipment.
- Will be responsible for ensuring that feedback from the field is integrated into the estimating software ensuring that production rates, means and methods are consistently up to date.
