What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vice President, EPC Contracts position at Primoris Renewable Energy?
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the development, negotiation,, and execution of EPC contracts to ensure compliance with project requirements and company policies
- Manage the subcontracting and vendor contracting process, including participation in the selection and evaluation of subcontractors and vendors to ensure all pertinent terms and conditions are captured in the agreements ,
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards, customer requirements, and industry best practices.
- Oversee contract administration, consulting, and negotiations, ensuring seamless execution and risk mitigation.
- Partner with executive leadership to align contract strategies with business development objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement in the structure of , contracts, in collaboration with , business development, pre-construction, and legal teams.
- Collaborate with project management teams to support contract amendments and renegotiations to accommodate scope changes.
- Provide expert analysis to identify and resolve potential contractual issues and conflicts.
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate the performance of the contracts team, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Identify and implement innovative processes, technologies, and systems to enhance contract efficiency and resource utilization.
- Ensure departmental decisions align with the organization's strategic goals and vision.
- Establish, communicate, and enforce contract-related policies, standards, and security measures.
- Provide resources to support project execution teams with contract administration efforts, contract language interpretation, and notices as needed.
- Administer the department’s budget and manage financial performance related to contracts.
- Present key performance metrics and reports to executive leadership.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in contract negotiations.
- Identify training needs and oversee the development of relevant training programs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- 15 years of experience in contract management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Extensive experience in EPC contracts within Large Solar, Power Plant, or Chemical Plant industries.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field; Master’s Degree preferred.
- Proven expertise in EPC legal negotiations and high-value contract management.
- Experience in a public company environment, including reporting, deadlines, and audits.
- Track record of fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture across multiple generations.

Targeted Salary Range $250,000-$280,000
