Electrical Superintendent - ARB, Inc.
Summary
ARB, Inc. is seeking a construction Superintendent for various projects at multiple job locations. This Superintendent would provide technical expertise for EPC construction projects, providing constructability reviews, procurement support, construction planning and execution primarily on utility scale solar PV generating stations.
Essential Functions
- Supervise, set direction and expectations for and coach all General Foremen, Field Engineers and Foremen at the project site to ensure best use of all company resources, adherence to all company policies and state and federal regulations to manage the timely and efficient construction of projects.
- Manage all project subcontractors to ensure coordination, proper sequencing and the overall effective use of project resources as well as industry processes.
- Properly manage work scope, change, negotiate change orders and subcontract amendments with subcontractors.
- Collaborate with management as well as other projects to appropriately utilize and share resources.
- Handle scheduling of equipment, materials, tools and subcontractors to effectively utilize all resources and to maximize production and minimize costs
- Act as a mentor to supervisory and field personnel, participate in meetings with design engineers, subcontractors, Owners, SME's and utility interconnect personnel.
- Be responsible for safe working conditions and safety procedures on the project. Understand and enforce safety regulations on site.
- Responsible for the utilization of best safety practices, the management of employee training for work methods.
- Work closely with Site Manager to collaboratively support the activities necessary to achieve timely completion of tasks to support project required sequencing and schedules.
Additional Responsibilities
- Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.
- Participate in RFI development and technical accuracy.
- Establish and maintain crew and equipment matrixes, comparing information back to established Work Plans and updating work instructions as needed
- Complete all necessary reports in a timely and legible manner, includes Daily Reports, Quality documentation, Material Requests, time sheets. Require computer skills, EXCEL and WORD proficiency is mandatory.
- Perform quality audits of all installed work.
- Provide detailed, written work plans on request with resource and material documentation to support the plan.
- May at times visit proposed project sites to support Estimating and Business Development.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of superintendence experience managing and supervising a construction team preferably in utility scale PV solar construction
- Must have a valid driver license & an acceptable motor vehicle driving record (MVR)
- Thorough knowledge of tools and equipment uses and limitations.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Possess a solid understanding of job costing.
- Possible relocation to community of project site may be required.
- Ability to read and understand drawings and contract documents.
- Know and understand the required federal and state codes of construction.
Compensation/Benefits
- Annual salary would be in the range of $140-170k, commensurate with education, skills and experience
