Primoris Heavy Civil business unit is searching for a Project Controls Analyst in the Houston, TX area. The Project Controls Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the assigned project(s) deliverables are being executed within budget and on schedule, including timely and accurate input of data and document reporting, as well as thorough review/analysis of defined cost.

Heavy Civil provides highway, port, airfield, rail and marine (intermodal transportation) construction services to private commercial and industrial clients as well as governmental entities such as the Department of Transportation and the US Army Corps of Engineers. Heavy Civil is comprised of six operating units that include North Louisiana Operations, South Louisiana Operations, Texas Operations, HMA Paving Operations, Concrete Paving Operations, and the Infrastructure Rehabilitation Unit.

Key Responsibilities:
- Break down project estimate & allocate budgets to a company standard code of
- Assist in monitoring of the project(s) schedule for the planning, procurement,
- Coordinate, calculate, develop, input or update project budget information,
reporting system(s)
- Update, monitor and consult project(s) costs and progress, including coding
ensuring adequate weekly tracking of quantities and production
- Analyze cost and productivity reports, present findings, and communicate
- Assist in project setup, coding, take-offs and establish project baseline
- Develop, implement, and maintain external and internal cost reports, forecasts
- Provide cost, schedule and key performance indicator input to the weekly and
- Conduct project forecast meetings
- Printing and distribution of technical and administrative reports
- Assembly of monthly report packages
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Business Management or
- Preferred 2 years’ experience in Cost Control or similar position, preferably in
- Experience in the Heavy Civil construction industry preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy and
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarization with project controls procedures
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Scheduling knowledge a plus
- Experience and or exposure in Vista/Viewpoint, Ecosys, and web-based software
- Ability to work as a team
- Time management skills
- Strong organizational skills
