BCOMM is seeking a Project Manager to join our team in San Antonio, Texas. This critical role encompasses comprehensive project oversight and management, requiring adherence to established procedures while fostering innovation and developing new methods. Success in this role hinges on punctuality, creativity, innovation, organization, communication, and consistency.
Manage People
Responsible for coordination with human resources and oversight of all direct and indirect reports within your division.
Ensure direct reports are following Company procedures and protocols.
Secure and maintain a culture that aligns with the Company as a whole. Inspire others to come to work.
Manage Customer Relations
Attend all in-person and virtual meetings with Customers or meetings requested from Customer / GM.
Respond to requests for information regarding all past, current, and future (pending) projects; submit requests for information regarding scope, schedule, money, etc.
Communication with field inspectors, Customer Agents, City Staff / Regulatory Agency Representatives.
Work in Customer prescribed systems and software, and directly with the Customer for scheduling of pre-construction meetings with Customer and third parties. Attend these meetings as a representative of Project Management.
Manage Project Coordination, Oversight, and Logistics Management
Manage project coordinators, own the schedule, oversee the money.
Constantly update, communicate, and follow directives from the General Manager (GM).
Oversee sequencing, timing, and schedule of events.
Create and manage the schedule.
Coordinate and submit locates.
Manage on-call rotations including actively taking part in.
Create and continually update Construction and Splicing Redlines.
Prepare, organize, and submit all project-related submittals at their request or at their discretion.
Collect, manage, and submit data including the use of tools such as Procore.
Collect and process daily submittals from crew foremen, PCM (Project Construction Manager), and subcontractors.
Collaborate and coordinate with the program manager on meeting sales goals and targets for the market.
Collaborate with your department’s General Manager (GM) on personnel hiring, selection, onboarding, and crew placement.
Collaborate with GM on subcontractor selection, onboarding, and management.
Manage local vendors and resources, such as providers, suppliers, etc.
Submit to Human Resources such as timekeeping, project time allocation, etc.
Coordinate with B Comm Safety Department to ensure all policies are followed and JSA’s are being created and collected.
In-Field OSP Activities – Management
This role is primarily in the office (at least 95%); however, the Project Manager is expected to visit the field at a minimum weekly to observe all crews under their purview to examine health and safety, quality and risk assessment, personnel monitoring and assessment, etc.
Act as Safety Steward in and away from the field – always be empowered to watch out for your team and the public! You are in command of your team’s safety and are expected to keep your team safe and equipped with safe tools and devices as needed, steering the team away from dangerous or hazardous situations in compliance with all HSE rules and procedures.
Manage all incidents involving personnel, subcontractors, and past / active job sites.
Coordinate activities in the field through your Construction Manager(s).
Undertake the management of schedules, locates, construction activities, customer expectations, reporting, timelines and deadlines, personnel training, monitoring, hiring, selection, subcontracting, and placement, etc.
Direct Reports
You report directly to the General or Division Manager.
The following team members report directly or by escalation up to you : Construction Manager(s), Foremen, Crew Members, Project Coordinators.
Collaborate With : Program Manager (if applicable), Project Controller(s), Finance Controller, Safety Manager, and President.
