What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Civil/Structural Engineer position at Primoris?
Job Overview :
The Associate Civil / Structural Engineer will conduct structural design evaluations and calculations under the guidance of a lead engineer to support proposal estimating and provide construction support efforts for utility scale solar projects.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Proposal Estimating :
o Review client provided reports, such as : Geotechnical, Topographical, Environmental / Ecological, Hydrological and flooding studies.
o Conduct an approximate 10% design of the civil and structural aspects of a project with specific focus on pile-design.
o Balance civil and structural design requirements to ensure cost-effective project execution.
o Support project teams by working with the Engineer of Record to address civil and structural questions and concerns that arise during the design and construction phase.
o Review and provide comments on the Structural design package provided by the Engineer of Record at 30%, 60%, 90% milestones.
