Our San Dimas, California, location is in need of a Lead Piping Designer to support several existing and upcoming projects in the area.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Managing high value engineering support workGenerating detailed models of piping systemsDetermining optimum equipment and piping layout and tie-in locationsParticipating in internal 3D model reviews and client model reviews as requiredPerforming vendor data review of equipment and componentsServing in the lead role on one or more projects and providing guidance for Senior Designers and Design DraftersProfessional interaction with engineering staffAssisting Design Manager / Coordinator in identifying scope changes and staffing recommendationsPerforming preliminary drawing checks before packages reach the Design ManagerParticipating in inter-discipline and cross-discipline checksReviewing and checking completed designsCoordinating cross-discipline communications at Design Manager's requestRequired Qualifications :
15-20 years related design experience.3D modeling experience, master levelMaster-level experience with cutting & annotating plan & section drawingsBasic knowledge of materialsProficiency in field verification and measurementsWorking knowledge of codes and standardsWorking knowledge of reference documents and guidesComplete mastery of Design Drafter & Senior Designer essential functionsVery Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, CADWorx Plant, ISOGEN, CADWorx P&ID and Microsoft Office products.Familiarity with PDC's standards and proceduresBenefits :
