Primoris Industrial & Civil is seeking a Project Estimator with a background in analyzing project specifications, technical drawings and design documentation to accurately determine the expenses and timescales associated with implementation / construction and maintenance projects. The ideal candidate understands the role of an estimator adheres to budget and scheduling constraints while maintaining safety and quality standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Estimate projects in accordance with Primoris Policies and Procedures.
- Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, drawings, specifications, and related documents.
- Identify labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, drawings, specifications, and related documents.
- Analyze regional labor rates and per diems to be used in the estimate.
- Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
- Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications.
- Review and confirm estimating takeoffs provided by their Estimating team, Engineering and CAD designers.
- Review and confirms quotations from vendors and subcontractors provided by their Estimating team.
- Mentor Estimators and Junior Estimators to assist in their development and professional growth.
- Presents to leadership their own estimates and provides supervisory support for estimates prepared by their team.
