Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Piping Design Engineer to join our team in San Dimas, California. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for managing high-value engineering support work, generating detailed models of piping systems, and determining optimum equipment and piping layout and tie-in locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing high value engineering support work
- Generating detailed models of piping systems
- Determining optimum equipment and piping layout and tie-in locations
- Participating in internal 3D model reviews and client model reviews as required
- Performing vendor data review of equipment and components
- Serving in the lead role on one or more projects and providing guidance for Senior Designers and Design Drafters
- Professional interaction with engineering staff
- Assisting Design Manager/Coordinator in identifying scope changes and staffing recommendations
- Performing preliminary drawing checks before packages reach the Design Manager
- Participating in inter-discipline and cross-discipline checks
- Reviewing and checking completed designs
- Coordinating cross-discipline communications at Design Manager's request
Requirements
- 15-20 years related design experience
- 3D modeling experience, master level
- Master-level experience with cutting & annotating plan & section drawings
- Basic knowledge of materials
- Proficiency in field verification and measurements
- Working knowledge of codes and standards
- Working knowledge of reference documents and guides
- Complete mastery of Design Drafter & Senior Designer essential functions
- Very Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, CADWorx Plant, ISOGEN, CADWorx P&ID and Microsoft Office products
- Familiarity with PDC's standards and procedures
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is estimated to be between $150,000 - $180,000 annually, dependent on experience, qualifications and competencies. We offer a range of benefits, including paid company holidays, paid PTOS, medical, dental, vision, FSA/HSA, short-term/long-term disability, and 401K with matching contribution.
