Provide a safe, educational, and nurturing environment for children, parents, and staff. Qualifications:
Must meet requirements of local child care regulatory agency and Primrose School of Ashburn at Broadlands.
A degree in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, or related field, and/or at least two years' work experience in a licensed childcare facility, kindergarten or early childhood program preferred.
Experience in management, business, and/or public relations preferred.
Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
. Valid drivers license with a clean driving record (for bus driving).
. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
. Ability to work well in a team and take initiative.
. Proficient in Microsoft Office, email, and other office software; experience with Procare is a plus.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: Administrative Assistant

Key Responsibilities:
- School Closing & Security: Responsible for securely closing the school building at the end of the day, ensuring all areas are locked and the premises are safe.
- Bus Driving (as needed): Drive the school bus for pick-ups and drop-offs, ensuring safety and compliance with all regulations.
- Front Desk Management: Greet parents, children, and visitors, answering calls, and providing general administrative support. Maintain a welcoming and professional atmosphere.
- Classroom Support: Assist teachers in classrooms when needed, helping with activities, supervision, and classroom management.
- Director Support: Collaborate with the director team, assisting with daily operations, event planning, and other tasks as needed.
- Paperwork Organization: Manage and organize important paperwork, including student records, forms, and permission slips.
- Email Communication: Send out important emails to parents and staff, including newsletters, reminders, and updates.
- Procare System Management: Approve and upload pictures of students in the Procare system, ensuring all images are appropriate and uploaded in a timely manner.
- Medication Administration: Administer medications to students as needed, following school guidelines and protocols.
- Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned by the director to help the preschool operate smoothly and efficiently.
