What are the responsibilities and job description for the Primrose Preschool Assistant Director position at Primrose School of Copperfield?
Goal:
To cooperatively work and assist with the school's daily operations in accordance with its vision, mission, policies and procedures and state licensing standards. Provide a safe, educational, and nurturing environment for children, parents, and staff. Promote the school in the community to build awareness, enrollment, and achieve planned profitability.
Qualifications:
- Must meet the director requirements of local child care regulatory agency and Primrose training requirements.
- A degree in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, or related field, and/or at least two years' work experience in a licensed child care facility, kindergarten or early childhood program preferred.
- Experience in management, business, and/or public relations preferred.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.

Responsibilities:
- Provides superior customer service to all external and internal customers.
- Implements the necessary management responsibilities to ensure maximum enrollment and effective cost control to produce profit.
- Knowledge of and adheres to employment laws and compliance issues related to those laws.
- Selects, hires, orientates, trains, and evaluates all staff in accordance with Primrose Schools and state licensing requirements and policies and procedures.
- Attend all school events, functions, open houses, etc.
- Keep school physically well kept, attractive, and safe.
- Have all playgrounds and equipment checked on a regular basis for repairs and/or maintenance.
- Ability to perform all of the essential functions for each position in the School, including, but not limited to, other Leadership Team positions, teacher, Food Service Teacher, and Bus Driver.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
