We have an immediate need for a Senior/Lead Ruby on Rails Developer for a remote opportunity

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of Ruby on Rails applications with a strong focus on performance, scalability, and reliability. This role demands hands-on experience in Ruby programming and deep knowledge of the Rails framework. The candidate should be proficient in PostgreSQL or similar RDBMS systems, RESTful API development, and MVC architecture. Experience with modern front-end technologies like ReactJS or Angular, along with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, is essential. The role includes writing unit tests using RSpec, integrating user-facing elements with server-side logic, and troubleshooting bottlenecks and bugs. Familiarity with tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring tools, and cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) is highly desirable.

To be successful in this position, one needs to be an excellent problem solver with strong communication skills, a solid understanding of Agile/Scrum environments, and a proven ability to mentor junior developers while managing technical discussions and sprint planning. Preferred candidates will bring experience in the healthcare or medical device domain and demonstrate the ability to multitask across several activities using tools like GitHub, Bitbucket, and JIRA. Leadership, collaboration, and a proactive attitude toward continuous process improvement are key to excelling in this role.
