Coating Operator

POSITION SUMMARY:

Preparation of cutting tools and parts for coating and operates coating machine. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Typically reports to a production leader or supervisor or manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Follows established coating pretreatment procedures.

Measures basic tool specs such as diameter, flute length and overall length

Load and unload completed carousel from coating machine.

Respond to an alarm If an error occurs during processing.

Perform routine general cleaning of equipment and coating room.

Prepare products for delivery to customers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The Coating Machine Operator needs the skill to watch gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.

If there is a defect in the order, confirm the order details with the individual customer.

Ability to perform multiple job tasks in a professional and timely manner.

Needs the skill to speak to others to convey information effectively.

Needs the skill to log simple coating data into Microsoft Excel.

PHYSICAL WORKING DEMANDS:

To perform the duties of this job, an individual must be able to read, write and understand the English Language.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to keep the coating rooms clean and organized.

Specific vision abilities required to this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Manufacturing environment

Must wear personal protection equipment as required, which may include: safety shoes, dust masks, gloves, goggles, and hearing protection.

SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL DUTIES

DAILY:

1. Prepare tools for washing machine

2. Cleaning coating equipment and room

3. Unloading coating carousel after coating completion

4. Load and unload coating carousel into coating machine

5. Operation of coating furnace

6. If an error occurs during processing, respond to an alarm.

7. Prepare shipping

8. Delivery tools to the customers

9. Change targets (metal plate)

WEEKLY:

1. Cleaning coating room

2. Cleaning of coating room equipment

MONTHLY:

Organizing and cleaning coating room storage shelves

Checking fluid levels on washing machine

Job Type: Full-time

8 hour shift

Day shift

Monday to Friday
