What are the responsibilities and job description for the Concrete Manager position at Prince Contracting?
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is preferred
- At least five (5) years of related experience; highway construction, concrete paving, and management experienced required
- Experience with managing roadway projects with the Florida Department of Transportation, Aviation Authorities, or Port Authorities; knowledge of standard specifications for these entities is preferred
- Knowledge and experience of federal, state, and local regulations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; Preferred proficiencies include HeavyJob / HeavyBid and Primavera P6
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Goal oriented - ability to set goals and achieve them
- Strong Interpersonal skills - able to lead diverse teams, as well as work well and persuade people at all organizational levels
- Organizational ability - able to plan, prioritize, organize, and monitor activities and projects. Able to work well in a group environment and foster a team approach
- Experience working with Gomaco and / or Wirtgen slip form paving trains preferred, including belt placer spreaders, Concrete pavers, texture / cure machines, and central mix concrete batch plants
- Able to frequently work nights and weekends
- Frequent travel throughout Florida is required
