POSITION DESCRIPTION
Title: Secretary/Dispatcher for Transportation
Reports To: Supervisor of Transportation
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Summary: To develop, maintain and manage a system to provide efficient transportation to students daily during the school year and as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent (some positions may require additional education or training). Experience in transportation or logistics is a plus. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to handle stressful situations and remain calm under pressure. Familiarity with safety regulations and transportation laws. Proficiency with computer systems, scheduling software, and basic office equipment. Holds a valid commercial driver’s license to drive a school bus or willing to obtain one within six months.
