PRIMARY FUNCTION :
This is a one-year-only, grant-funded School Psychologist Intern position for the 2025-26 school year. Under the supervision of a licensed School Psychologist Intern Supervisor, and in accordance with federal and state regulations and School Board policies, the School Psychologist Intern will provide psychological services to support students' mental health, academic, and behavioral development. The School Psychologist Intern will assess student needs through observations, interviews, and standardized tests, and collaborate with parents and school staff to help create and implement interventions to address learning difficulties, emotional challenges, and social issues with the goal of improving students' overall well-being and academic performance.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Candidate must be currently enrolled in an accredited graduate program in School Psychology (NASP-approved program preferred) and in good standing with his / her university program.Prior to internship, candidate must have completed all coursework and practicum experiences required while enrolled in the graduate program.Candidate should possess a thorough understanding of psychoeducational assessment, curriculum-based measurement, response to intervention, and progress monitoring and be able to work cooperatively as an interdisciplinary team member.REPORTS TO :

ESSENTIAL DUTIES :
Administer individual psychoeducational evaluations for the assessment of intelligence, personality, aptitude, achievement, and perception and generate a written report of findings in a timely manner.Interpret and analyze test results for parents and school staff and provide recommendations for addressing student needs.Assist in the determination of educational disabilities for students (PK through high school) who have been referred for a comprehensive evaluation.Follow professional best practice and ethical guidelines in the field of school psychology.Consult with principals, teachers, parents, and other appropriate individuals to address student needs and promote an atmosphere conducive to psychological growth.Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including Child Study / School-Based Intervention Team meetings, 5o4 meetings, and special education meetings (eligibility, IEP, and manifestation determination reviews).Assist in the identification and implementation of behavior management / modification strategies through functional behavior assessments and the development of behavior intervention plans.Conduct in-service workshops or consultative conferences for school personnel on request or as needed.Conduct short-term individual and / or group counseling, as needed.Perform any other related duties as required by graduate program or assigned by the School Psychologist Intern Supervisor or other appropriate administrator.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
Involves frequent traveling to and from schools.Involves mild to moderate lifting / carrying of testing materials to and from schools.SHIFT TYPE : Full-time
SALARY : $25,000 paid over the course of the school year
As a grant-funded position, the salary is contingent upon the availability of funding.
