We are seeking an Education Security Specialist to join our team at Prince George County Public Schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a safe and secure environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors on campus.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and guests on campus.
- Establish and maintain good rapport with students, staff, and community members.
- Supervises and directs pupil movement.
- Assist with fire drills and all other crisis prevention measures/evacuations.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Security experience in a public school preferred.
- Some experience or training in a security-related field or any equivalent combination of education and experience that would provide the noted knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Demonstrated knowledge of security procedures and best practices.
- Ability to acquire knowledge of School Board policies and procedures and Student Rights and Responsibilities.
- Must have basic computer skills using Microsoft Office programs.
- Must possess excellent human relations skills.
- Must possess a valid Virginia's driver's license with positive DMV points.
