The position is located in the Office of Procurement and Contracting and the employee is responsible for all phases of the proper recording, tracking and depreciation of college assets and follow up on delinquent procurement actions
Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Associate degree or training certification in business or accounting required.
- Three years of experience in procurement, inventory management or logistics required
- Bachelor degree preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Responsible for tracking delinquent procurement actions
- Coordinates with end users on the status of their orders
- Assist Procurement Coordinators in locating suppliers
- Generate reports to track delinquent orders
- Work with end users to establish realistic lead-times
- Responsible for preparing delinquent orders status report
- Coordinates and maintains financial records and documents.
- Prepares and maintains daily, monthly and adhoc reports for inventory management for management and audit review.
- Responsible for the proper recording and tracking of college assets
- Responsible for the proper recording and depreciation of capitalized assets
- Responsible for the monthly reconciliation of inventory database
- Prepares and maintains inventory reports for management and audit review
- Assist in training other team members on the inventory system.
- Assist Accounting Specialist with the disposal of surplus inventory items.
- Assist with any audits when necessary.
- Strives to provide excellent customer service and to foster a positive work environment with coworkers and the college community.

Job Requirements
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must have the use of sensory skills in order to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through the use of the telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear, handle or feel objects and controls. Physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office related equipment, such as, but not limited to a, personal computer, calculator, copier, and fax machine. While performing inventory duties there is significant walking, repetitive motions. As well as moderate climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, and grasping.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written standard English.
- As required by the 1986 Immigration Act, be prepared to present acceptable documentation showing your identity and that you are a U.S. citizen or an alien who is authorized to work.
- A background investigation will be conducted prior to the offer of employment. A signed authorization for the release of personal information will be required if selected for an interview.
