What are the responsibilities and job description for the Prince George's Community College is hiring: Audio Production Adjunct Faculty in position at Prince George's Community College?
The instructor is responsible for the coordination, planning, preparation, presentation, and evaluation of classroom instruction and related activities during the day, evening, or weekend via instructional delivery formats to include face-to-face, hybrid, online, and remote. Face-to-face and hybrid classes may be offered on any Prince George’s Community College campus, or at off-campus locations. The instructor must remain current in the discipline area and continually explore teaching methods and strategies to engage learners, organize and plan instructional content that accommodates diverse learning styles, and devise appropriate assessment tools that monitor student learning outcomes. The instructor is also responsible for participating in related activities to include professional development, academic advising, and curriculum design.
Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Master’s Degree (MA or MFA) or equivalent
- with a minimum of 12 graduate credits in Mass Communication or Audio Production. (Satisfactory completion of 30 semester hours or more of relevant academic study in an accredited doctoral program may, at the discretion of the vice president, be determined to meet this requirement.)
- Teaching experience at the college or high school level or training experience in the area of Mass Communication.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience relevant to the teaching area of Mass Communication or Audio Production.
- Preference given to candidates who have professional, teaching, or training experience in Television, Video or Film Production or Emerging Media as well.
- A combination of education, training, credentials and / or experience that meets the needs and requirements of the department.
- Official documentation of credentials and degrees may be requested; degrees are recognized only if earned at an accredited institution.
