The Prince George's County Government Department of Health seeks qualified applicants to fill a Clinical Case Manager (Counselor 1) position, grade A21, within its Behavioral Health Division.

Examples of Work
- Provides reentry program enrollment, screening/assessment, and referrals to treatment and community-based service providers
- Coordinates client services
- Enters and maintains electronic documentation
- Develops individualized reentry plans
- Monitors client progress
- Implements appropriate intervention strategies for the welfare of clients
- Meets with service providers to assure services are being provided
Qualifications
- Master's or Doctoral Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Psychology
- A minimum of 2,000 hours of supervised clinical experience in Professional Counseling
Candidates must meet the Education, Certification and License requirements to qualify for this position.
License requirements
Must possess one (1) of the following licenses/certifications:
- LCPC: Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor
- LGPC: Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor
- LCADC: Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor
- LGADC: Licensed Graduate Alcohol and Drug Counselor
- LCSW-C: Licensed Certified Social Worker-Clinical
- LCSW: Licensed Certified Social Worker
- LMSW: Licensed Masters Social Worker
- LCP: Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Certification
- Achieve a passing score on the National Counselors Examination of the National Board for Certified Counselors and the State Law Test; and
- A candidate placed in this classification must be licensed as a Graduate Professional Counselor by the Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists. In accordance with Health Occupations Title 17 and Code of Maryland Regulations 10.58.01.09, (Maryland Department of Health General Licensure Information).

Preferred Qualifications
A minimum of 2 years of experience working with justice-involved individuals or in a related setting
Certification in delivering the Level of Services/Case Management Inventory (LS/CMI)
Experience using an electronic database
Experience working with community-based agencies/organizations to access resources/services for returning citizens

Conditions of Employment: Upon selection, the candidate must:
- Pass Health Department and Department of Corrections background investigations.
- Possess a valid driver's license.
- Background check for access to the Department of Corrections.
- Meet all training and performance standards and demonstrate proficiency as required by the agency.
- Wear and use agency protective apparel and equipment in the performance of their assigned duties, if applicable.
