What are the responsibilities and job description for the EMT (non-emergency medical transport) position at Prince George Transport?
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled EMT-B to join our team and provide high-quality emergency medical care to patients. The EMT-B will be responsible for responding to non-emergent BLS calls, assessing and treating patients, and transporting them to healthcare facilities as needed. The successful candidate will have strong problem-solving skills and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to non-emergent calls and assess patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment
- Administer treatments as needed and prescribed by protocols
- Transport patients to healthcare facilities using appropriate equipment and techniques
- Communicate with hospitals and other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care
- Maintain accurate records of patient care and documentation
- Follow safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe work environment
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- EMT-B certification and valid state certification
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to multitask and manage a high-volume workload
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required
