Who we’re looking for:

Prince George is looking for a candidate with a deep relationship with Christ, a heart for young people, and a call from God to ministry. Because Prince George desires to grow disciples of any age that can profess the faith, demonstrate its power, and walk in its love, the purpose of the Youth Minister at PGW is to be the staff link to the parish as it relates to youth grades 6-12 growing deeper in their faith by encountering the Risen Lord, Jesus in every aspect of the church’s life. This minister will do this by consistently facilitating opportunities for youth to be active participants in all aspects of the life of the Church.

Youth Ministry at Prince George:

Prince George currently has an active and robust youth ministry program with both middle and high schoolers that meets on a weekly basis during the school year. In addition to weekly meetings, the youth participate in mission trips, ski trips, special events, and host Youth Sunday once a year. As Prince George is currently expanding and renovating their campus (state-of-the-art new youth room coming soon!), we have been collaborating with another local youth group at a church down the road and are currently meeting jointly on their campus. There is a generous budget for youth ministry and a wonderful support system of involved parents, parishioners, and other staff members who help support the ministry.

Requirements:

- The candidate should have a college degree

- The candidate should be able to demonstrate a close relationship with Jesus Christ and a clear calling to ministry

- The candidate should possess the ability to be flexible and collaborative as this ministry is dynamic and involves working with others in the church and community-The candidate should have strong communication and organization skills to communicate both with youth and parents and also the staff and parish

- The candidate should have strong leadership skills and the ability to recruit and lead volunteers

Compensation:

- This is considered a full-time position

- Salary: $45-55k

- Benefits include relocation costs, 403b retirement, paid vacation, sick leave, and maternity leave
