JOB SUMMARY
The General Manager oversees all aspects of the manufacturing facility, ensuring efficient production operations by managing production schedules, quality control, cost management, staff leadership, and compliance with safety and quality standards, while aligning with the company's strategic goals; their primary responsibility is to maximize productivity and profitability within the plant by optimizing processes and resources.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Leadership :
- Manage the division P&L, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimize resource utilization.
- Analyze sales and production data to identify areas for improvement.
- Review all department purchases related to production to identify areas in which reductions and / or improvements can be made.
- Interface with customers as needed to improve or maintain business relationships.
Production Leadership :
Establish and monitor production targets to meet customer demands and delivery timelines.Oversee manufacturing processes including quality control measures to ensure product consistency.Review and analyze production and operational reports to determine the root cause of nonconformances with the production schedules or product specifications.Optimize workflow and address production bottlenecks to improve efficiency and reduce waste.Team Management :
Lead and develop a team that includes scheduling, maintenance, engineering, quality assurance, and production staff.Foster a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement.Perform personnel tasks for staff including interviewing, training, addressing concerns, and conducting performance reviewsRecommend, authorize, and promote all required training programs for company and personal improvement.Compliance and Safety :
Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.Implement and monitor quality control procedures to meet industry and certification standards.Interpret and enforce all procedures in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.Stay updated on relevant regulatory requirements and industry best practices.Strategic Planning :
Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute strategic business plansIdentify opportunities for process improvement and technology upgradesRecommend new equipment purchases with the involvement with support from corporate personnel or committees. (i.e., specification requirements, negotiations, capability and time study elements)Analyze market trends and adapt production strategies accordinglyAdditional responsibilities or special projects as assigned by management as needed.

Must possess a bachelor's degree in engineering / manufacturing or equivalent work experience.Minimum of 7 years' experience in all phases of related production management.Previous supervisory responsibility required.Experience in metal machining required.Proficiency in all computer-related software packages (Microsoft Office, etc.), and additional technologies as appropriate.Requirements

Additional compensation can include bonus structure per company policy
