Prince Telecom is seeking Senior Fiber Installation Technicians to join our team! The Senior Fiber Installation Technician will perform residential and/or multi-dwelling unit cable television, high speed data and/or telephone installations from the tap to the customer premise equipment in a safe, courteous and efficient manner, to client specifications.
We provide paid training, a company vehicle, full benefits, and tuition assistance.
$25 per hour for Tuesday to Saturday or Sunday to Thursday. $26 per hour if both weekend days are worked.

What You’ll Do…
- Sr technicians will report to the dispatch team every morning at 7am.
- Based on their home zip code, technicians will be required to report to a designated location that the dispatch team will determine so they can be ready to take any 8am job that can be missed due to a call out or because a tech is running late.
- Sr technicians will be required to be available to train or help a technician that is falling behind.
- Schedule will be determined by market need. Could be Tuesday to Saturday or Sunday to Thursday (25 an hour), or Thursday to Monday(26 an hour if they work both weekend days)
- Required to lead training sessions for technicians that are experiencing challenges in the field.
- Install, disconnect, reconnect, add, change, troubleshoot and repair fiber optic systems.
- Use small hand tools, power tools, and test equipment.
- Install, setup and configure residential networking equipment such as ONT’s, routers and switches.
- Perform testing on company issued devices and customer devices.
- Attempt to identify and remedy sources of customer-perceived issues.
- Complete paperwork accurately, and report/record work order status updates.
- Perform customer service duties by:
- Greeting and interacting with customers in a professional courteous manner, including when responding to escalations and repeated customer concerns;
- Reviewing all requested services with the customer in order to ensure understanding and agreement;
- Educating the customer regarding product and service usage.
- Minimum 18 years old
- Valid U.S. driver's license (required)
- Authorized to work in the United States for this company without sponsorship
- Must live within 80 miles of Charlotte, NC.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Telecom experience
- Comfortable working in tight spaces (such as crawl spaces or house attics)
- Comfortable working in inclement weather conditions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
- Effective communication skills
- Able to travel and work extended hours; overtime and weekends, as needed
- Ability to lift, climb, and carry ladders weighing up to 80lbs.
