About This Role:
- Conduct research using multiple databases on a variety of topics: legal, genealogical, government, business, industry and management topics.
- Answer questions via email utilizing MS-Word Outlook Task functions
- Outreach at local business networking events
- Assist the public with using the library business and grant databases
- Plan and create promotional material for business programs
- Manage the physical set up for in-person and virtual programs utilize Webex and other technology.
- Assist patrons in a one-desk service model, assisting with information and circulation functions
- Assist patrons with computer issues and e-reader technology

Minimum Requirements:
Master’s degree in library or information science
Preferences:
- Experience in conducting research and analysis of government, legal and business information
- Proficiency in navigating and searching legal, genealogical, and business databases (Westlaw, LexisNexis, Bloomberg Law) and library management systems
- Experience with outreach to the community
- Experience conducting outreach programs with small businesses and community members
- Experience with designing and delivering effective training programs or instructional sessions for diverse audiences
Special Requirements (if applicable):
The position may require travel to other branches and community events. A DMV check will be conducted for employees who drive while on County business.
Work Schedule:
This is a full-time, 37.5 hours per week exempt position. Chinn Park is currently open 7 days a week. The schedule includes days, evenings, and weekends. Schedule may vary depending upon the needs of the library. Monday – Wednesday 9-8, Thursday-Saturday, 9-5, Sunday 12-5.
Starting Salary Range: $65,910- $79,408.88
