An essential function of this position is the ability to work in person and physically report for work on site.
This position facilitates the planning, development, organization, and implementation of programs and services related to secondary transition and career preparation. It involves collaborating with community partners to facilitate successful transition activities, while promoting program innovations. The role includes monitoring student performance to ensure that program goals are being met and to identify areas for improvement and training staff to effectively deliver these programs. Emphasis is placed on fostering strong working relationships with parents, students, staff, employers, and other agencies as related to identifying and providing appropriate transition services in the IEP related to post-secondary outcomes.
JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for providing support to school staff members in relation to special education. Specifically, the coordinator is responsible for compiling and analyzing academic and behavioral data, providing support relating to tiered research-based interventions, and progress monitoring in the form of professional development activities and school support.
