- Current Licensed staff shall meet or exceed all performance standards.
- Instructional candidates must hold a valid VA teaching license withSpecial Ed endorsement.
- Staff who recently retired and have not satisfied their bonified break in service, and Retirement Opportunity Participants who have not completed their ROP hours for the upcoming school year, are not eligible to be ESY Mutual Instructors.

Positions are contingent upon sufficient student enrollment and program needs. An essential function of this position is the ability to work in person and physically report for work. Work locations are mutually agreed upon and may include the student’s home, the local library or other public space, or a school building with the approval and permission of the building administrator. The schedule of services is to be mutually agreed upon between the instructor and the student’s parent/guardian or adult student. Service times must occur between the hours of 7:00 AM and 10:00 PM.
The incumbent provides specially-designed instruction to students in all areas specified by the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) related to the provision of Extended School Year services. Develops and implements a plan for managing classroom behaviors in accordance with IEPs using a variety of positive behavioral supports. Utilizes assistive technology and specialized equipment. Maintains a system of record keeping and data collection. Plans and supervises assignments for teacher assistant(s) and/or other volunteer(s). Other Duties as Assigned.
Licensed temporary rate $46.50/instructional hour. $32/hour for non-instructional hours.
Salary : $32 - $47
